Ayurvedic Food

Ayurvedic medicine is one of the earth’s most experienced whole-body healing systems. It was revealed more than 3,000 years ago within India. It’s based on the idea that health and wellness depend on a sensitive balance connecting the mind, body, and spirit. Its main intention is to encourage good health, not combat disease. But various kinds of ayurvedic treatments are geared toward specific health problems. Including a healthy diet often referred to as ayurvedic food. Those who exercise Ayurveda consider every person is given five basic elements found in the universe. They are:

  • Space
  • Air
  • Fire
  • Water
  • Earth

These merge in the human body to create three life forces or energies called doshas. They regulate how your body works. They are:-

  • Vata dosha (space and air)
  • Pitta dosha (fire and water)
  • Kapha dosha (water and earth)

Everyone receives an individual mix of the three doshas. But one is usually stronger than the others. Each one controls a different body function. It’s believed the chances of getting sick and the health issues you develop are linked to the balance of your doshas.
